Carmella has been doing therapy for 15 years. Over the last 15 years, she has worked with at-risk youth in inner-city Chicago and she co-facilitated a therapy group at Cook County Jail in the woman's division. During her internship for her master's in social work, she completed part of her internship at a Domestic Violence agency in Chicago working with women and children who were victims of domestic violence.
The second part of her internship was at Samaritan Counseling Center in Benton Harbor. She has worked in Foster Care as well as in a therapeutic school.
Her specialty is working with children-adolescents and their families. But she also loves working with adults as it is a good balance in the therapy setting. She spent two summers in Belize facilitating an Anti-Bully Group at the local school as well as individual therapy for some of the villagers in the community in the evenings.
